Daniel Turner is a 1980 graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. He worked for three years on various merchant cargo ships as a 3rd Assistant Engineer and transitioned into designing engineering and overseeing the construction wastewater treatment and water recycling systems for industrial clients around the world using advanced treatment technologies.
Dan then founded Blue Whale Technologies in 2019 working independently with consulting engineering, integrating nanobubble technology, advanced oxidation, moving bed biofilm reactors and membrane separations treating complex industrial wastewater streams. He also founded Blue Whale Ocean Filtration and recently received an international/US patent for Systems and Methods for Removal of Contaminants from a Liquid including ocean plastics, microplastics and other contaminants using nanobubble attachment technology combined with bubble blanket flotation technology. This innovative technology can be applied to both wastewater treatment facilities and ocean-going vessels.
Dan has developed The Two Elements of Global Sustainability over the past decade-plus from an observer’s perspective on global trade, open boarders, national sovereignty in combination with globalization and global warming/climate change has been going in the wrong direction for many years.
